Mosquito Spraying Today in Northeast Queens
Department of Health will conduct spraying overnight in several local communities.
The city's Department of Health will conduct mosquito spraying in several northeast Queens Queens communities on Thursday evening.
The spraying will begin at 8 p.m. and will be completed by 6 a.m. on Friday.
Neighborhoods that will be sprayed include Alley Pond Park, Bellerose, Floral Park, Glen Oaks, Hollis Hills, Linden Hill, College Point, Queens Village, Edgemere and Somerville.
The DOH suggests following these guidelines during the spraying:
- Set air conditioner vents to the closed position.
- Remove children's toys, equipment and clothes from outdoor areas.
- People with asthma should stay indoors during spraying.
