Northeast Queens Assemblywoman Nily Rozic Heads For Another Term
Rozic ran unopposed in the general election, handing her an automatic win once the polls closed Tuesday night.

FRESH MEADOWS, QUEENS — State Assembly Member Nily Rozic is officially returning to Albany for a fifth term representing parts of Northeast Queens.
Rozic ran unopposed in the general election for the 25th Assembly District, handing her an automatic win once the polls closed Tuesday night in New York City.
Early returns from the NYC Board of Elections show more than 19,000 people marked their ballots for Rozic in the uncontested race.

"Queens has always been a place of opportunity, fairness, inclusion, and home to diverse communities – and as a lifelong resident with experience in public service, I pride myself on having dedicated my career to making these values work for all of Queens’ residents and families," Rozic said in a statement. "I want to thank my constituents once again for entrusting me with this responsibility and will continue working side by side with my neighbors to leave our community greater than we found it."
Rozic was first elected in 2012, becoming the youngest woman elected to the state legislature and the first woman to represent the 25th Assembly District, according to a news release.

She represents the neighborhoods of Flushing, Queensboro Hill, Douglaston, Hillcrest, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens and Bayside.
