NYC Parks Seeks Operators For Bayside, Douglaston Golf Courses
NYC Parks issued a request for proposals for the renovation, operation and maintenance of golf courses in Bayside and Douglaston.

BAYSIDE, QUEENS — The city’s Parks Department is looking for new operators to renovate and maintain the golf courses in Bayside and Douglston.
NYC Parks issued a request for proposals for the renovation, operation and maintenance of Douglaston Golf Course located at 6320 Marathon Parkway, as well as Clearview Park Golf Course in Bayside.
“We encourage operators to consider the use of sustainable practices in their plans to ensure that our golf courses remain green in every way,” said NYC Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue.

The move comes as the existing license agreements at the golf courses are set to expire in January 2024. Parks is seeking concessionaires for one 20-year term for each golf course.
The department said it's looking for operators who can renovate and maintain the facilities at “the highest level to draw visitors from all over the country, with concepts of sustainable integrated design throughout.”

At Clearview, NYC Parks is looking for proposals that improve cart storage by providing a canopy structure, provide landscaping around the course, repair roofing, and other requests.
At Douglaston's golf course, the department seeks proposals that improve drainage at the course, repave cart paths, expand tee boxes, and replace the internal plumbing system at the clubhouse, among other requests.
NYC Parks also issued a request for proposals for four other golf courses in the city, including Pelham/Split Rock Golf Courses in the Bronx and Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn.
LaTourette Golf Course and South Shore Golf Course, both on Staten Island, will also accept proposals for operators.
All proposals in response to this request must be submitted by April 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
