1 Bed-Stuy Restaurant Will Participate In NYC Restaurant Week

BED-STUY, NY — A week of good eats is upon New York City, and Bed-Stuy is no stranger to delicious food.

But only one restaurant in Bed-Stuy will participate in the culinary exploration event from Jan. 16-Feb. 4: Soul Kofa Vegan Healthfood on Ralph Avenue between Bainbridge and Cauncey streets.

Throughout the weeks of restaurant tastings, Soul Kofa Vegan Healthfood will serve its vegan Caribbean and African flavors and juices with special prix-fixe lunches and dinners priced at $30.

"Soulkofa, known for its prepared vegan foods which are sold in various stores throughout the City, has now ventured into the restaurant industry," Restaurant Week organizers wrote on the website.

For three consecutive weeks, restaurants across the city will serve special menus during brunch, lunch and dinner time slots with prix fixe menus ranging from $30-$65.

Elsewhere in Brooklyn, Prospect Heights barbecue spot Morgan's Brooklyn Barbecue will participate with $30 dinner menus, and Williamsburg Thai restaurant Kru will serve a $35 lunch and $45 dinner.

In Williamsburg, Pizette will serve a $45 fixed dinner menu and a $30 Sunday brunch, and Park Slope's Palo Santo will serve a $45 dinner in its cozy Brooklyn brownstone setting.

Restaurant Week is part of a larger "Winter Outing" program by New York City Tourism + Conventions, which will bring travelers and locals alike discounts on hotels, shows, cultural attractions and businesses.

"Tourism is already booming across the five boroughs, but with NYC Winter Outing 2024, I am confident we will break even more records this year,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement.

“Whether you’re interested in the best restaurants, cultural attractions, hotels or tourist attractions, NYC Winter Outing has what you’re looking for."
