This Bed–Stuy Restaurant Just Made The NYT’s Top 100 List
The New York Times named one Bed-Stuy eatery among its 100 best restaurants in NYC, including 21 picks from Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN, NY — Are you hungry? Because A Bed-Stuy eatery just cracked the New York Times’ top 100 in NYC.
A&A Bake Doubles and Roti, located at 1337 Fulton Street on the corner of Verona Place, is a new addition to the New York Times’ list of the 100 best restaurants in the city, which was released this week.
"It’s always a scene at A&A, where Bedford-Stuyvesant locals shuffle along the line, pointing at trays of fall-apart oxtails and saucy curry chicken," according to the New York Times. "Each dish is a full-throated paean to the electricity and multiculturalism of Trinidadian cuisine."

To create the ranking, three interim restaurant critics — Priya Krishna, Melissa Clark, and Brian Gallagher — meticulously explored the city’s culinary scene, sampling around 200 restaurants worthy of consideration, according to the New York Times.
Each critic submitted their list of top picks, which were then narrowed down to showcase the best across boroughs, price points, and cuisines, according to the New York Times.

The top 10 restaurants were ranked in order, while the remaining 90 were listed without ranking. Semma, an Indian restaurant at 60 Greenwich Avenue, between 7th Avenue and West 11th Street, claimed the number one spot.
A&A Bake Doubles and Roti was the only Bed-Stuy spot on the list, but a total of 21 Brooklyn restaurants made the cut this year. Other new additions include Court Street Grocers at 485 Court Street, Lilia at 567 Union Avenue in Williamsburg, and Sofreh at 75 St. Marks Avenue in Prospect Heights.
