2 Brooklyn Men Arrested 1 Year After Shooting At NYCHA Housing: NYPD

A Crown Heights and Bed-Stuy man were arrested over a year after police say they shot three people in Brooklyn.

BED-STUY, NY — Two men accused of shooting three people at a Bed-Stuy NYCHA development were arrested last week, police said Sunday.

Shamari Griffith, 20, of Bed-Stuy, and Malcolm Davis, 18, of Crown Heights, stand accused of shooting multiple people on April 12, 2022 at a development on Gates Avenue near Marcy Avenue, according to the NYPD.

The two men men were walking in front of the development about 4:20 p.m., when Griffith and Davis started shooting, police said. They hit a 41-, 26- and 43-year-old, who were all transferred to area hospitals at the time in stable condition, police said.

The shooting came hours after 10 people were shot at a subway station in Brooklyn.

Davis, Griffith and another man all fled the scene and had evaded charges until Wednesday, police said.

Both men were charged with attempted murder, police said.
