5 Things You Should Know This Week
Alternate side parking suspension, job fair for 16-26-yr-olds and VIDA hosts education forum

1. Alternate Side of the Street Parking is suspended two days this week: Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and May 16 for the observance of Shavuot.
2. If you are a young adult between 16 - 24 years old or teen looking for a paid work experience, the Youth Resource Fair will be hosting a number of employers looking for a few enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable young job-seekers on Wednesday, May 15th from 4:00 - 7:00pm at SCO/ Family Dynamics Beacon Center at MS 35, 272 Macdonough Street, Bklyn.
3. The Kings County Fair returns today to Aviator Sports and Events Center, located at Floyd Bennett Field on Flatbush Avenue, just one half mile south of the Belt Pkwy Exit 11S. The Fair will be open daily, from Thursday, May 16 through Memorial Day Monday, May 27. Visit www.TheKingsCountyFair.com for more information.
4. This Tuesday is the scheduled monthly 81st Precinct Community Council Meeting, taking place at 794 Monroe Street at 7:00 p.m.
5. The Vanguard Independent Democratic Association (VIDA) will hold an education forum this weekend, moderated by District Leader Robert E. Cornegy. It’s a chance for charter school and public school leaders as well as elected officials to join in a discussion about the challenges of today’s education system. Saturday, May 18, 4:00 p.m., 401 Topkins Avenue (bet. Hancock and Jefferson).
