85-Year-Old Brooklyn Man Dies After Being Hit by Car
Joseph Hippole was trying to cross Linden Blvd., around 10 a.m. Saturday in Brownsville, when he was hit by a 2006 Nissan, police say.

An 85-year-old Brooklyn man died after he was hit by a car near Linden Blvd. and East 95th Street. in Brownsville Saturday morning.
According to police, Joseph Hippole was trying to cross Linden Blvd. from south to north around 10 a.m. Saturday when he was struck by a 2006 Nissan, driven by a 25-year-old, who was traveling eastbound on Linden Blvd.
Hippole, who lived a block away from the accident site, on the 600 block of East 95th Street, was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he died, police said.

The vehicle remained on the scene and the investigation is ongoing by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad, police said.
