Bed-Stuy Eatery Named Among NYC's Most 'Excellent' Brunch Spots

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Bed-Stuy neighbors don't need to go far to find one of the most "excellent" brunch spots in New York City, according to a new ranking.

Peaches Restaurant on Lewis Avenue has landed a spot on Eater's list of "15 NYC Brunch Spots Worth Planning the Weekend Around," which picked out the top places to grab the breakfast-lunch combo meal across the five boroughs.

The food critics praised Peaches — one of three in Brooklyn opened by the B+C Restaurant Group — for its "reliable" all-day brunch menu. Peaches first opened its Lewis Avenue location in 2006 and has since set up two other eateries in and around Bed-Stuy.

The Bed-Stuy spot was among seven in Brooklyn that made the cut.

Other top eateries included Chez Ma Tante in Greenpoint, Tom's Restaurant in Prospect Heights, Yafa Cafe in Sunset Park and Williamsburg's For All Things Good, Edith's Eatery & Grocery and Win Son Bakery.

"This reliable Bed-Stuy restaurant churns out an all-day brunch menu anchored by fried chicken, seafood, and Southern sides. There’s steak with eggs, chicken with toast, catfish with grits, and plenty of other pairings that are sure to scratch a brunch craving. Non-brunch staples like crab cake sandwiches and shrimp po’ boys are served all day."
