Bed-Stuy Fire Sends 4 To Hospital: FDNY

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the FDNY​.

BROOKLYN, NY — A fire broke out on DeKalb Avenue between Marcy and Tompkins avenues on Wednesday afternoon, injuring four civilians, fire department officials said.

The fire started at 759 DeKalb Ave. — a mixed-use apartment building with 12 apartments inside — at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sixty firefighters and emergency personnel arrived at the scene and got the fire under control at around 4 p.m., according to FDNY.

Four injured people were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, FDNY officials said.
