Bed-Stuy Local To Helm SUNY Old Westbury Business School
Bed-Stuy resident Shalei Simms was recently named the dean of a SUNY business school overseeing over 700 undergrad students.

BED-STUY, NY — Bed-Stuy local Dr. Shalei Simms will helm the business school at State University of New York, Old Westbury, the university announced.
Simms has long worked with the university, once serving as interim assistant president of academic affairs and as a tenured faculty member in the Management, Marketing and Finance Department.
Locally, Simms has served on the Board of Managers for the Bed-Stuy YMCA, and she sits on the board of directors for the Teachers Federal Credit Union, a SUNY Westbury representative said.
