Bed-Stuy Man Stabs Trans Neighbor's Partner In The Neck, DA Says
"I'm glad I know where you live," Emmanuel Dash allegedly told the terrorized couple. "Because I don't like gay people."
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Bed-Stuy man with a transgendered partner was stabbed in the neck by a neighbor who once declared, "I'm glad I know where you live because I don't like gay people," according to prosecutors.
Emmanuel Dash, 32, was arraigned on attempted murder and hate crime charges Wednesday for attacking a transgendered person's partner on Malcolm X Boulevard on June 22, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.
Dash is accused of hunting down the couple, knocking on several doors in their building until he found their home, prosecutors said.

Dash charged at them in the street then stabbed his 32-year-old victim in the back of the neck as he tried to run away, prosecutors said.
The man's partner called 911 and he was rushed to Kings County Hospital and treated for a six-inch long stab wound that cut into his vertebral artery, prosecutors said.
Police arrested Dash two days later, said prosecutors.
Dash was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court on a 25-count indictment — which includes charges of attempted murder and assault as a hate crime — and held on a $40,000 bail, said prosecutors.
The Bed-Stuy man was ordered to return to court on Oct. 23 and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted, prosecutors said.
