Bed-Stuy's 'Oddly Enough' Bar To Close In January
A Bed-Stuy bar focused on making safe, intimate spaces for queer Brooklynites announced it will close after nearly two years on Tompkins.

BED-STUY, NY — Oddly Enough, an "intimate" queer bar in Bed-Stuy, will close its doors on Jan. 27 after nearly two years on Tompkins Avenue.
The bar situated on Tompkins Avenue and Jefferson Avenue will host its favorite events before permanently shutting at the end of the month — like bingo, karaoke, dinners and dance parties.
"We want to thank everyone for the past almost two years," Oddly Enough owners Laura Poladsky and Caitlin Frame said in an Instagram post. "We have seen a LOT. Proposals, baby showers, millions of first dates, breakups, hookups, arm wrestling, ex’s, more hooking up, dancing, singing, speed dating, friends, family, eating, drinking, lots."
