BROOKLYN, NY — Newly-released footage shows the moment cops shot at a suspect after a dramatic car chase through the streets of Brooklyn earlier this year.

The body camera and surveillance video — released on Friday — comes two months after police chased a suspect in a grey Honda CRV near the Cypress Hills and Bed-Stuy border for nearly an hour after trying to stop the person for a traffic violation, according to police.

Cops first tried to stop the car near Jamaica Avenue and Wyona Street around 4:12 a.m. on Nov. 3. Instead, the car peeled off, nearly hitting one of the officers, police said.

The CRV was then spotted by two different cops near Jamaica Avenue getting onto the Jackie Robinson Parkway, according to police.

Officers, including the first two, chased the car until it exited the parkway onto Vermont Place, according to police.

The original cop car then crashed into the back of the CRV, sending the Honda spinning onto the sidewalk on Jamaica Avenue and its police cruiser into an unoccupied vehicle nearby and a street light, according to police.

Officer Darrell Scraper got out of the crashed police cruiser and tried to head toward the suspect while the CRV rolled back into the street, according to police and video.

As the suspect scrambled out of the passenger side door and ran away, Scraper fired nine shots, police said.

Police still haven't found the suspect, they said. The incident is being investigated by the NYPD's Force Investigation Division.
