CM James Hosts Citi Bike Share Town Hall Meeting

Councilwoman Letitia James, D-35, will host a town hall meeting Wednesday to discuss the Citi bike share program. 

At the meeting, officials will provide information about the bike sharing program, and residents will a chance to air their concerns with the system, as well as have any questions answered. 

The meeting will take place on April 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Benjamin Banneker Academy, located at 71-77 Clinton Ave.

The city's new bike share program began accepting sign-ups Monday morning and will begin in mid-May. Bike stations have been installed in Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Bed-Stuy and Downtown Brooklyn. 

Annual membership will cost cyclists $95, while those who opt for a seven-day pass will pay $25. Looking for a quick-fix? A 24-hour pass will run $9.95. Prices do not include tax and overtime fees apply. 

NYCHA residents, age 16 and older, and members of Community Development Credit Unions are eligible for a $60 annual membership, provided they enter a discount code.
