Construction Worker Crushed At Bed-Stuy Worksite, Say Police
A 44-year-old New Jersey man died after he was crushed under construction debris in Bed-Stuy, police said.
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A construction worker died after he was crushed by debris at a Bed-Stuy worksite Wednesday morning, police said.
Over Paredes, 44, was working at the Myrtle Avenue site just after 11 a.m. when a forklift on the roof of a three-story building tipped over and sent building materials crashing down on the Newark, New Jersey, man, authorities said.
Paredes was rushed to Woodhull Hospital but could not be saved. The city's Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
