Firetruck Slams Into Moped While Rushing To Emergency In NYC: Police
A firetruck en route to an emergency in Brooklyn on Sunday collided with a moped, sending the rider to the hospital, officials said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A firetruck rushing to an emergency plowed into a moped in Bed-Stuy on Sunday afternoon, sending the rider to the hospital, police said.
Police say the crash happened around 1:26 p.m. at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Sanford Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
According to investigators, the moped rider allegedly ran a red light, swerved through traffic, and struck the back end of a firetruck from Ladder Company 102. The impact threw the moped rider onto the roadway.

Although police did not specify their injuries, they said the moped driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
