Teenager Charged For Bed-Stuy Playground Murder: NYPD
Dinikue Grant, 19, stands accused of murdering Daquan Trantham, 20, in St. Andrew's Playground earlier this year, police said.
BED-STUY, NY — Four months after a Bed-Stuy man was shot dead in St. Andrew's Playground, police charged a teen for his murder, the NYPD said.
Dinikue Grant, 19, also of Bed-Stuy, was arrested Thursday for the murder of Daquan Trantham, 20, on April 15, according to police.
Shots rang out in the playground at 1405 Atlantic Ave. about 6:30 p.m. and police found Trantham with multiple gunshot wounds, the NYPD said.

Medics rushed Trantham to Interfaith Medical Center but doctors could not save his life, police said.
Police do not have a motivation for the killing at this time, but told Patch that Grant is gang-affiliated and is a part of a local street crew.

Grant has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
