What: The Coney Island Film Festival will showcase the work of independent movie makers and features narrative films, documentaries, shorts, horror and a screening of Coney Island's hometown flick, The Warriors, on Saturday.

What: Free fun for the whole family at this Coney Island Open Street sponsored by JASA’s Coney Island Older Adult Centers. Live DJ's, face painting, zumba, arts & crafts, food trucks and even health screenings and nutrition workshops!

When: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Pints and Puppies Adoption Event
Neighborhood: Gowanus
What: Have a pint and adopt a puppy — or don't! 20% of pint sales from this adoption/drinking fest will go towards Animal Lighthouse Rescue. So no pressure to adopt under the influence, you're still doing a good thing.

What: A first-ever event, taste over 20 food and drink purveyors raging from Caribbean to American to Asian, brought to you by Tastes of Brooklyn and the Grand Street & Grand Avenue BID's. Proceeds go to local charity Seeds in The Middle.

What: Free comedy featuring comedians known for their work on Conan, Netflix and Airplane Mode. There may also be quesadillas.
