Johntines Celebrates "Pink Friday"

Tia Jackson, owner of Johntines Boutique -- a clothing store for full-figured women, located at 332 Malcolm X Boulevard in Bed-Stuy -- opened her store July 2010

Some of Jackson’s most popular items will be marked down from 20 to 50 percent on what she's calling on her website “Pink Friday.”

“I call it 'Pink Friday,' because we’re fabulous, and I didn’t want my customers to feel that because I’m a small boutique that we can’t participate in the same kind of sales.”

Jackson will have $5 deals on items like hats, scarves and cosmetics. She also will feature a discount on “Paparazzi Earrings” popularized on the show “Basketball Wives.” The earrings are a near-perfect knockoff of the original ones which retail for $75. They will be on sale at Johntine’s for two pair for $30.1

“Pink Friday is a great way to bring in the new year with new inventory,” said Jackson. “Plus, I wanted to give my customers a good deal on some of the things they’ve been eyeing.”
