Man Accused Of Killing Commuter At A Bed-Stuy Subway Station: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — Police have arrested and charged a Brooklyn man with murder for killing a victim at a Bed-Stuy train station in early September, New York City Police Department officials said.
Donald Haywood, a Clinton Hill local, was arrested on Tuesday at 5:23 p.m. and charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police say.
Haywood is accused of shooting Brooklynite Freddie Weston in the head inside the Rockaway Avenue train station in Bed-Stuy just before midnight on Sept. 4, police said.

Emergency responders transported Weston to the nearby Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after, police said.
The victim was 47 years old and lived on Sterling Place in Crown Heights.
