Man Found Dead Behind Bed-Stuy Building, Police Say

BED-STUY, NY — A man was found dead behind a Halsey Street apartment building on Monday morning, police said.

Officers responded to a call of an unconscious person at 930 Halsey St. and found the 31-year-old, fully-clothed man laying on the ground in the back of the building at about 10:37 a.m., the NYPD said.

Emergency workers pronounced the man, whose name has not yet been released, dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical examiner will determine the cause of death and police said an investigation is ongoing.
