OCEAN HILL, BROOKLYN — An unidentified man shot up a Fourth of July cookout in Ocean Hill, near Bed-Stuy, after he was turned away from the party, according to the New York City Police Department.

The man apparently began shooting because he was "denied entry to a party" at 419 Chauncey St. — an apartment building near the corner of Saratoga Avenue — around 11:30 p.m. Monday, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
