Violent Slashing In Brooklyn Leaves Man Injured, Police Say
The attacker took off after the slashing and is still on the run, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — A man was slashed across the body early Tuesday morning in Bed-Stuy, police said.
According to the NYPD, a 58-year-old man was near 997 DeKalb Ave., near Stuyvesant Ave., just after midnight when he was attacked and slashed with a knife.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition, while the attacker fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Investigators said it's unclear what led up to the attack or whether the victim knew the suspect.
