New Oyster And Wine Bar Brings Coastal Flair To Brooklyn

Selune was launched by Parisian hospitality veteran Marc Lioussane, formerly of Eden Rock St. Barths, with his partner Bilen Gaga.

BED-STUY, NY — Seafood lovers, rejoice: a new oyster and wine bar with a Parisian flair is bringing the flavors of the sea straight to Brooklyn.

Named after the poetic French words for “salt” and “moon,” Selune opened in June as an intimate new wine bar in a historic Bed-Stuy building at 478 Halsey Street, featuring an extensive selection of American and European natural wines, fresh oysters, and Japanese sake.

With seating for 50 guests, the new neighborhood hangout is the creation of Parisian hospitality veteran Marc Lioussane and his partner Bilen Gaga. The beverage menu offers over 120 natural wines from France and the U.S., alongside a curated selection of Japanese sakes.

Highlights of Selune’s wine menu include “Splash,” a fresh and vibrant natural sparkling wine from Château Barouillet, perfect for summer. For cocktail lovers, the bar offers unique creations like the BedStuy Spritz, made with sage-orange cordial and Prosecco, and the Selune Manhattan, featuring smoked rosemary, sweet vermouth, and rye whiskey.

To complement their drink selection, Selune offers a variety of ready-to-eat raw oysters served with housemade sauces such as ponzu scallion, shallot wine vinegar, and lemongrass.
