No Injuries From Fire on MLK Place

Firefighters quickly put out a blaze in the yard next to a four story building on Martin Luther King Place.

The fire at 102 Martin Luther King Place between Marcy and Tompkins avenues was reported at 9:27 a.m. Twelve firetrucks and about 60 firefighters arrived and put out the flames at 9:49 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

There were no injuries. Officials are still investigating the fire's cause, the spokesman said.
