BROOKLYN, NY — A New York City Housing Authority employee was arrested after crashing into three cars in Bed-Stuy and then trying to leave the scene of the crash, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, NYCHA employee Tanisha Simpson was driving a black 2013 Nissan SUV when she hit a car near the intersection of Gates Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard at 6:39 p.m.

When the first driver tried to catch Simpson to get her information, the NYCHA employee attempted to drive away, hitting two more cars in the process, police said. One car was parked with no one inside it, but the other car had passengers in it, police said.
