Two men at a residence on Stuyvesant Avenue between Hancock and Halsey experienced a home invasion. The victims reported to police, the incident started when two men --both strangers-- knocked on their door on Monday, August 8, at approximately 9:30pm. When one of the tenants at the home on Stuyvesant opened the door, the men barged in and brandished a firearm. The perpetrators went through the tenant's bedroom drawers and removed money and a phone, and then forcibly removed money from the victim's friend. One of the victims report that before the two men left the house, one of the men hit him over the head with the butt of his gun. Police were able to catch one of the men later that day, from a description one of the victims provided of the car. The investigation is ongoing for the second suspect.
