The bar, named by Eater as one of the most anticipated new spots this spring, is expected to open in April.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A wine bar on its way to Bed-Stuy is one of the most anticipated new restaurants opening this spring, according to Eater.

The food outlet named the revamped Tompkins Avenue bar Oddly Enough as one of its 21 "Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of Spring 2022."

The employee, Laura Poladsky, and her partner Caitlin Frame got the go-ahead to take over the space when Eugene & Company closed in late February.

“On April 1st the physical space on Tompkins Ave. will be reborn as Oddly Enough: an inclusive, queer-centric joint, serving seasonal bites, classic cocktails and an extensive non-alcoholic menu,” owners wrote at the time. "The vibe is fun, sexy and warmly welcoming"

The Bed-Stuy spot is among eight Brooklyn eateries that made the "most anticipated" list. Others include Eyval in Bushwick, Patti Ann's in Prospect Heights and Laser Wolf in Williamsburg.

Here's what the food critics had to say about Oddly Enough:

"Longtime Eugene & Company employee Laura Poladsky and her partner Caitlin Frame (formerly a bartender at Andrew Tarlow’s Marlow & Sons and Diner) are taking over the recently shuttered Eugene & Co space. The duo is turning the space into Oddly Enough, a queer bar with wine, an extensive zero-proof drinks list, and small plates. 397 Tompkins Avenue, at Jefferson Avenue, Bed-Stuy."
