Rash Of Robberies Plagues Brooklyn In Citywide Pattern, NYPD Says
Police are searching for a suspect who they say is behind at least six robberies, some of which involved violence.

BROOKLYN, NY — Newly released surveillance footage shows a man wanted in connection with a string of bold robberies across Brooklyn, including two in Bed-Stuy, police said.
The as-yet-unidentified robber is still on the loose, with police connecting him to six crimes dating back to early April, the most recent reported on May 1.
NYPD officials released new pictures of the suspected crook, asking for the public's help to track him down.

Here are more details on each of the six robberies, three of which occurred on the same day, according to police.
Incident 1: Around 7:10 a.m. on April 7, a man approached a 71-year-old woman near Church Avenue and East 32nd Street (Brooklyn) and pushed her before stealing her pocketbook from her vehicle, police said. He fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries.

Incident 2: Around 10:30 a.m. on April 28, a man snatched approximately $300 from a 52-year-old woman’s hand as she was about to pay a teller inside a business at 2804 Church Avenue (Brooklyn), police said. He fled eastbound on Church Avenue. There were no injuries.
Incident 3: Around 11:45 a.m. on April 24, a man approached a 74-year-old woman from behind inside a supermarket at 612 Nostrand Avenue (Brooklyn) and took approximately $250 from her hand, police said. He fled southbound on Nostrand Avenue. There were no injuries.
Incident 4: Around 9:10 a.m. on May 1, a man approached a 53-year-old woman from behind inside a business at 927 Flatbush Avenue (Brooklyn) and took approximately $340 from her hand, police said. He fled eastbound on Snyder Avenue. There were no injuries.
Incident 5: Around 3:20 p.m. on May 1, a man approached a 29-year-old woman inside a department store at 1363 Fulton Street (Brooklyn) and took a backpack from her shoulder, police said. He fled southbound on Fulton Street. There were no injuries.
Incident 6: Around 3:30 p.m. on May 1, a man approached an 85-year-old woman near Nostrand Avenue and Fulton Street (Brooklyn) and took approximately $2,000 from her jacket pocket, police said. He fled eastbound on Fulton Street. There were no injuries.
Authorities have described the suspect as a man with a slim build and dark complexion.
