BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man accused of fatally shooting a woman and her dog in a Bed-Stuy bodega earlier this year has been charged after more than a month on the loose, according to police.

Namel Colon, 36, was arrested on murder and weapons charges on Tuesday, weeks after a surveillance photos of him were first released from the Jan. 2 shooting, according to police.

Colon, who lives in the East Village, is accused of shooting 36-year-old Jennifer Ynoa and her dog inside a Dekalb Avenue smoke shop.

Ynoa, who lived a few blocks from the shop, was found shot in the torso on the ground outside of the store between Franklin Avenue and Skillman Street that night. She was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Ynoa's brown-and-white pitbull, who was on a leash with her at the bodega, also died from the shooting, according to reports.
