Suspect Caught In Fatal Stabbing Outside Bed-Stuy Hotel: Cops
Daniel Velasquez, who police have been looking for since November, was charged with murder on Wednesday, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man who has been on the loose after fatally stabbing someone outside a Bed-Stuy hotel in May has been caught, according to police.
Daniel Velasquez, 43, was charged with murder Wednesday, seven months after police say he stabbed 47-year-old Tayebe Henderson near Broadway and Dekalb Avenue, the NYPD announced.
Cops had been searching for Velasquez, who is from Pennsylvania, since at least late November when they released photos of him as a suspect in the killing.

On May 18, Henderson was found lying inside the Artel Hotel lobby on Malcolm X Boulevard just after 9 p.m. that night with a stab wound to his chest.
Police said Velasquez stabbed Henderson near Broadway and Dekalb Avenue before fleeing the scene. Henderson, according to reports from the time, ran inside the lobby for help after the incident. He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.
