The Bed-Stuy Piranhas Swim Team is hosting a fundraiser for the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign this Saturday, November 12. And they want to know, "Are you up for a challenge?"
Think you can beat one of these young aquatic racers? Well, put your money where your mouth is: For just $3 a race, you have the opportunity to swim from the heart, in a competion against a Bed-Stuy Piranha!
And make no mistake: This isn't about letting your 8-year-old nephew quietly win a checkers game. This is real competition, because these little swimmers are fast!

In the past three years alone, the Piranhas have gone from being a virtually unknown little swim team out of Bed-Stuy, to, racking up a slew of gold medals.
Their reputation even reached the ears of five-time Olympic swimmer Dara Torres, who, this past September, to give the Bed-Stuy Piranhas a few lessons in what it takes to achieve Olympic gold.
