Two Men Wanted for Robbery

Police are asking for the public's assistance

On Monday, August 1, 2011, at approximately 11:30pm, a 28-year-old woman was riding her bicycle past 72 Lewis Avenue, when she was approached by two men who grabbed her, threw her to the ground and ripped her purse from her hands and then fled toward the vicinity of 300 Vernon Avenue.

The New York City Police Department and 81st Pct. Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the following individuals, wanted in connection with the August 1 robbery of the cyclist in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male his 20s, with black hair and dark complexion, weighing approximately 160-180 lbs, 5'11 to 6'0.  He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark-colored pants and white sneakers the day of the crime.

Suspect #2 is described as an Hispanic male in his 20s, with black hair and light complexion, weighing approximately 180-220 lbs, 5'11 to 6'0. He was wearing a green t-shirt, dark-colored shorts and light-colored sneakers the day of the crime.
