Brooklyn V-Day Thief Swipes Phone From Woman's Hand
The thief struck Sunday afternoon at the Rockaway Avenue station in Bed-Stuy, police say.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Some people get heaps of chocolate on Valentine’s Day. Others get their phone swiped.
The latter was the case this V-Day for one unlucky 32-year-old woman on a southbound C Train in eastern Bed-Stuy, according to the NYPD.
Police said an unidentified teen grabbed a cellphone from the woman’s hand around 3:45 p.m. Sunday after he boarded the train at the Ralph Avenue station, police said.

When the train entered the Rockaway Avenue station, the teen swiped the phone and hopped off the train, police said — then fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described by police as a black teen, around 5-foot-8, last seen wearing a blue jacket and gray jeans.
