Award-Winning Actress Vivica Fox Visits Bed-Stuy Library for Read Across America Day
Vox reads "Ferdinand The Bull" to 30 eager preschoolers.
Award-winning actress and producer Vivica A. Fox made a noontime visit to the Marcy Avenue branch of the Brooklyn Public Library today to read to 35 eager preschoolers from the Tabernacle Daycare in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
The event, at 617 Dekalb Avenue, was in celebration of Read Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association.
Scratching, smiling and bathroom-breaking preschoolers tried their best to sit still while Fox read “Ferdinand The Bull.” Whether or not the 3 and 4 year olds had any clue who Vivica Fox was, it didn’t matter. They loved her, because she brought three of the greatest gifts in the eyes of a 3 year old: A book, a story and her time.
