Weeksville House Fire Injures Civilian
A heavy fire broke out in a two-story brick home along Prospect Place late Tuesday.

WEEKSVILLE, BROOKYLN — A heavy, two-alarm fire tore through the two-story brick home at 1604 Prospect Place, located between Buffalo and Ralph avenues on the border of Weeksville and Ocean Hill, early Tuesday evening. One civilian suffered a minor injury in the blaze, according to the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY).
The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said, and grew so quickly that by 6:40 p.m., it had been labeled a "second alarm" fire.
Firefighters brought the flames under control by around 7:10 p.m., according to the FDNY.
