Winter Storm Could Give Bed-Stuy Trains A Hit
The first real storm of the winter season could mean big delays for the A and J trains, which both have long above-ground sections.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — New Yorkers have largely dodged the winter storm bullet so far this year. And despite daylight savings nearly two weeks away, the city is bracing for a good ol' winter blizzard.
That could mean snarled trains for Bed-Stuy residents, depending on your commute.
As snow creeps in Monday night and into Tuesday,with weather experts predicting up to six inches of the wet stuff, buses, and trains that travel above ground, might have to deal with all sorts of nearly-forgotten winter nonsese.

The J train, which travels above ground along Broadway at the eastern edge of Bed-Stuy, could face all sorts of snow and ice issues from Monday late-night to Tuesday's commute.
And the A train, which travels above ground in Queens, could also be in store for cold-weather headaches.

Luckily, Bed-Stuy can rely on the always on-time, issues-free G train, which only goes above ground for two stops in Park Slope.
