Woman Shot In Hip In Bed-Stuy: NYPD

BED-STUY, NY — A woman was shot late Monday night in Bed-Stuy, just a block away from where a man was fatally shot over the weekend, police said Tuesday.

The woman, whose age was not known, was shot in the left hip Monday about 11:45 p.m. on Willoughby Avenue near Marcus Garvey Boulevard, according to the NYPD.

She was rushed to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Monday's shooting comes just days after 29-year-old Dawuand Darrien was fatally shot a block away, on Vernon Avenue near Marcus Garvey Boulevard.
