Young Bed-Stuy Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash: NYPD

A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday in a crash, but his passenger was OK, police said.

BED-STUY, NY — A 21-year-old motorcyclist from Bed-Stuy died in a crash Saturday, but his passenger made it out OK, police said.

Nicholas Sanchez, 21, was headed southbound on 4 Avenue about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when he crashed into an SUV at 52 Street, according to the NYPD.

Both the Sanchez and his passenger were transported to an area hospital, where Sanchez was pronounced dead and the 22-year-old passenger was treated for minor injuries, police said.

The 44-year-old SUV driver stuck around to talk to police but had no injuries, police said.
