1 Westchester Restaurant Was Just Added To '24 Michelin Guide NY

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Westchester restaurants are earning an international reputation and the Michelin Guide has added one new restaurant to the latest NY edition.

Michelin just announced that 12 new restaurants have been added to the 2024 Michelin Guide New York, and one of them is in Westchester. Restaurants that are added to the list are in the running for being awarded stars later in the year or being added to the list of Bib Gourmands, although neither is guaranteed.

The latest Westchester restaurant to receive the honor is La Bastide by Andrea Calstier, in North Salem.

Here's what the Michelin Guide inspectors had to say about the new addition to the Michelin Guide New York:

La Bastide by Andrea Calstier, 721 Titicus Road, North Salem

"Head to this chic, modern farmhouse in Westchester where a soothing design perfectly complements sweeping views of the pastoral landscape. Husband and wife duo, Chef Andrea Calstier and General Manager Elena Oliver, invite guests to enjoy a multicourse French tasting menu where each dish is more imaginative and creative than the next. A simple-sounding salade vert is so much more with grilled gem lettuce paired with poached celtuce finished with cured egg yolk, nettle puree, and an olive oil sabayon. Squab breast cooked in a Dutch oven with rosemary and fig leaf plated with a puree of smoked eggplant along with figs served two ways is a convincing dish from start to finish. Finally, a dessert of three distinct peach-centered dishes is a beautiful tribute."
