The Town of Bedford Conservation Board developed a new “Green Award” program to recognize individuals, not for profit organizations, schools, municipal agencies and departments, community based groups, and businesses for outstanding environmental contributions to our town. You can join the Conservation Board at the first Green Award event on Tuesday, May 1st at 8:00 pm at the Town of Bedford Town Hall. We'll be posting the winners later today so check back to see who you know from around town that will be recognized.

It's official - neither Bedford Central nor Katonah-Lewisboro will have a week in February off—just a long weekend, with Mon. and Tues. Feb. 18-19 off, and Spring Break taking place March 25-29. Happy or not about this change?
4. Beatlemania
There are still some tickets left for this event sponsored by Community Education Foundation and Friends of Music and the Arts. The Cast of Broadway's "Beatlemania" will perform at the Mary Lou Meese Theater on April 28, 2012 at 7:30 pm. Some of the original members of the Broadway cast will be performing. 5. U.S. Ambassador at KMA
On April 26, Ambassador Nicholas Platt will give a talk at the . A State Department official, Platt was part of the entourage that accompanied President Richard Nixon on his historic 1972 visit to China. Platt, whose recently published memoir China Boys recounts the trip, will share his memories, insights, and Super 8 home-movies from that time. The presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $25 for non-KMA members and $20 for members, and pre-paid reservations are required.
