1. A tree grows in Bedford

Today at 11 a.m. at the Bedford Hills Community House, town officials celebrate Arbor Day by planting a flowering tree on Church Street.

Tonight's meeting covers, among other things, a special use permit application for Stepping Stones, a request from Willy Nick’s Restaurant request to renew agreement for outdoor dining, and a presentation of the 2010 audit. The meeting begins at 8 p.m. at town hall.
 
3.What to do with the kids today? School's Out, Art's In

The Learning Center at the Katonah Museum of Art will offer special art activities inspired by the exhibition Drawn/Taped/Burned.  There will be a teaching artist leading a different drawing experiment each day.  Possibilities include drawing with tape, drawing with found objects, and drawing on a large-scale wall.

4. Earth Day crafts

Another artsy option today for kids in grades 1 - 5 is to stop by the Lewisboro Library to make a treasure jar out of recycled materials. Can bring personal photos or use pictures cut from magazines. Registation is required,
