Arrests In Connection To String Of Bedford Gas Station Robberies
Two Bronx suspects have been linked to at least five gas station burglaries reported between September and November, police said.

BEDFORD, NY — Two men have been arrested in connection to a string of gas station burglaries in northern Westchester and police said more arrests are expected.
On Saturday, following a monthslong investigation, the Bedford Police Department Detective Bureau arrested two Bronx men in connection with at least five gas station burglaries in Bedford between September and November.
The Bedford Police Detective Bureau, in conjunction with the Mount Pleasant Police Department and the Westchester County Police Department, established a task force made up of law enforcement from Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties with a goal of arresting, charging and prosecuting those behind a rash of commercial burglaries in the region.

In the early morning hours of December 23, following a car and foot pursuit, four male subjects were apprehended by the task force in Dutchess County, shortly after completing a gas station burglary in the Town of Fishkill, where they were charged.
Detectives from the Bedford Police Department, the Mount Pleasant Police Department and assisting agencies conducted hours of interviews and investigation, ultimately resulting in the arrests of two of the men on charges in Bedford. Berto Dominguez and Michael Cruz were each charged a total of 20 counts, including third degree burglary, third degree grand larceny, fifth degree conspiracy, second and third degree criminal mischief, and petit larceny.

Both suspects were arraigned in Bedford Town Court where they were released on their own recognizance and turned over to the Mount Pleasant Police Department and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department to face additional charges.

"The Bedford Police Department extends our sincere gratitude to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, Harrison Police Department, Town of Fishkill Police Department, Westchester County Police Department, New York State Police Department, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Westchester County District Attorney’s office and all other agencies involved in the investigation and apprehension of these subjects," Bedford police said in a statement released on Tuesday. "This remains an active investigation additional arrests are anticipated."
