Bedford Books Grand Opening Chapter Starts On Thursday

BEDFORD, NY — Bedford will soon have a new "non-fiction" section with a story that rivals any tale ever told.

Bedford Books will read its opening line this Thursday at 13 Court Road, with events planned from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The owner promises there will be fun surprises, prizes, and special gifts all day long. Free gift wrapping, hot cocoa from Mast Market, and cookies from 351 Bakery will make holiday shopping feel just like the good old days.

In the evening, there will be a celebration with wine and treats from Graze New York.

"Opening a bookstore has been my lifelong dream, and I'm so excited to share Bedford Books with our wonderful community," owner Fran Hauser said. "I hope the bookstore will be a welcoming place where people can find inspiration, learn new things, and connect with others. I can’t wait to see everyone on December 12th for our grand opening celebration."

Hauser, a Bedford resident, is a bestselling author, keynote speaker, leadership expert, and LinkedIn Top Voice. She has spoken at over 200 organizations, including Meta, Google, Unilever, Blackrock, NPR, Mastercard, and The Conference for Women.

As a former Fortune 500 executive and start-up investor, who has funded over 40 female-founded companies, Hauser's insights have appeared in media outlets such as Forbes, CNBC, Fast Company, Fortune, Elle, Refinery29, and Business Insider.

She says that after her own publishing journey proved so rewarding, she created Bookbound, a platform dedicated to launching non-fiction authors. Hauser is also the co-host of the Bookbound podcast, a behind-the-scenes guide to getting published.

Bedford Books will host several special events in the new year, including a salon series, author talks, meet-and-greets, and more.
