Bedford Police Find Pot, Charge 2 with Misdemeanor Possession

Both are due in court May 16.

A 20-year-old Bedford Hills man and a 21-year-old Mount Kisco man are facing charges in connection with a traffic stop discovery of 26 grams of marijuana, officials say.

Bedford Police pulled over a 2003 Honda Civic, at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, after it failed to signal while turning into a condominium complex off Harris Road, according to authorities.

During the stop officers noticed the odor of marijuana. In the trunk they found two plastic bags containing the substance.

Zackary Jay Frey, 21, and Daniel R. Lopez, 20, are each facing a misdemeanor charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Authorities also charged Frey with two traffic violations.

Both men were released pending May 16 appearances in Bedford Justice Court.
