1. Bedford Village Sidewalk Sales
You won't want to miss the bargains that will be happening June 8 - 9 in Bedford Village. The event is sponsored by the Bedford Village Business Association. Here's a small sampling of what will be offered by retailers:
- will be offering from 10am-2pm.
- plans to offer 30 - 50 percent off of selected women and children's clothing

3. Jim Nordgren leads hike in North Salem today

Looking to get outdoors? Hop in your car and head over to the Hayfield-on-Keeler Preserve, a North Salem Open Land Foundation property. From 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Westchester Land Trust naturalist Jim Nordgren leads a search for Bobolinks and Meadowlarks. It's an easy hike. Heavy rain storms will cancel. 4. Mark your calendars for S'Mores Night
Gooey chocolate and marshmallows and graham crackers, plus a great band, The Differents—a recipe for a great community event that brings Katonah residents together each summer to kick off the season. The s'mores kits for sale all proceeds go towards the continued refurbishment of the Upper Shelter. It's on June 21 from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., the event, sponsored by the Katonah Memorial Park Association.
5. Business moves, awards
Francis Kerrigan, a native of Ireland with a Bachelor and Masters degree in computer engineering from the University of Limerickm has joined teh Katonah office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
Bedford resident Richard Bieder was awarded the Career Service Award by the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association in recognition of his dedication to professional ethics, tovexcellence in the legal profession, and to the betterment of the community at large. Read the full Patch
