Caramoor Opens for Season, School's Out for Summer
It's five things you need to know Friday—and for the weekend.

1. Caramoor Center for the Arts Opens for the Season
The International Music Festival will open its 2011 season, its 66th, with a production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore on Saturday, June 25, at 8:30. The concert celebrates the 15th season of Bel Canto at Caramoor. Starring soprano Georgia Jarman, tenor Robert McPherson, mezzo-sopranos Vanessa Cariddi and Robin Flynn, baritones Scott Bearden, Jorell Williams and Jason Plourde, and basses Nicholas Masters and Jeffrey Beruan, the production will be accompanied by the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. 2. Grand opening of Copia Home and Garden

Saturday from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. is the grand opening of a new home and garden shop at 475 Smith Ridge Road/Route 123 in Vista. There will be food and educational workshops on gardening with kids, composting and container gardening. Check out this newly redone shop; call 533-7242 for more information.
