Coming to Bedford-Katonah Patch: 'About Town'
The new interactive feature will bring you the latest news, events and neighborhood chatter throughout the day.
We're working hard at the Bedford-Katonah Patch to keep you up-to-date on daily news, events and businesses.
But sometimes we hear interesting tidbits, neighborhood chatter and other "small stuff" that we know actually mean a great deal to residents, but don't quite fit into a news story or business listing.
We wanted to find a way to report on what people are talking about, laughing about and whispering about.

So on Friday, Patch will roll out a new column called "About Town."
The column will be updated at least twice daily and will feature items of interest to the community. Think of it as a blog focusing on the news, activities and tales that make Bedford so special: maybe a fun fact about the new teacher at the high school, or a funny exchange at a board meeting, a celebrity sighting, or why the traffic stopped on the Saw Mill Parkway last Tuesday at 2 p.m.

And did we say it's totally interactive?
We want to hear from you. Tell us about your experiences. Submit photos of your kids and dog. Tell us your daughter just made the Dean's list. Write in the most romantic spot in Bedford.
Check back Friday for the unveiling of 'About Town' and it's columnist—a local writer and blogger who's pretty plugged in to life around here.
And email your questions, ideas, submissions and photos to lisab@patch.com.
