A 28-year-old Mahopac woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a recent arrest in Bedford, officials say.
Bedford Police arrested Caitlin Casti at about 1:45 a.m. May 14. She was behind the wheel of a 2009 BMW that was stopped on Barrett Road in Katonah.
Officiers approached the vehicle to ask if there was a problem, and Casti told them she was dropping off a passenger at a nearby home. During the conversation, they noticed glassy eyes, slurred speech and a delayed response from Casti, according to Lt. Jeffrey Dickan.
Casti reportedly failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a chemical tests. She was processed at police headquarters and released pending a May 30 appearance in Bedford Justice Court.
